This book summarizes the origin of 11 Mormon Handcart Companies, and the routes they took from Iowa City to Salt Lake City between 1856 and 1860. The handcart period was brief in duration and involved on three percent of over a hundred thousand European mormon immigrationts, but it illustrated a distinct concept in it's period of "gathering" in its intensity.  Handcart pioneers had to work and share together.  When disaster came, relief measures were speedily provided. This period...

The study makes a subtle difference between MI and musical achievement, the mastery of any academic skill related to music, whereas MI is directly related to the actual production and performance of music. The Instrumental College Survey-2 (ICS-2), Colwell's Music Achievement...

This article is from Plant Methods , volume 10 . Abstract Background: Biofortification of staple crops with essential micronutrients relies on the efficient, long distance transport of nutrients to the developing seed. The main route of this transport in common wheat (Triticum aestivum) is via the phloem, but due to the reactive nature of some essential micronutrients (specifically Fe and Zn), they need to form ligands with metabolites for transport within the phloem. Current methods available...
